Baked Mini Turkey Party Sandwiches
Make mini turkey sandwiches for a party! Four simple ingredients like deli turkey and pepper-jack cheese, plus my Dijon-mayonnaise spread make them a delicious crowd pleaser for football parties, cocktail parties, or girls night in. Prepare this recipe ahead to make entertaining easy.
Baked turkey mini sandwiches
Party sandwiches are always an excellent choice for entertaining because they’re individual portions, and they offer sustenance for the long haul.
This recipe makes perfectly sized turkey melt sliders which offer variety next to sweet baked ham and cheddar mini sandwiches, or roast beef party sandwiches.
When to serve mini sandwiches
You’ll want to add these to your party menu for all types of occasions.
- For your game-day party.
- Add them to a ladies luncheon.
- Include them for girls night in.
- They’re great for cocktail parties.
- Take them on a picnic or tailgate party.
How to make them
These sandwiches are full of flavor with a hint of spice from the pepper jack cheese, and the sweetness of the roasted red peppers (one of my favorite ingredients in life).
The Dijon-mayonnaise adds just enough moisture and zing to make these complete.
Ingredients
- Hawaiian party rolls or slider rolls
- Thinly sliced deli turkey
- Sliced pepper jack cheese
- jar roasted red peppers; patted dry and cut to sandwich size if needed
Dijon-Mayo Spread
- 1/4 cup light sour cream
- 1/4 cup light mayonnaise
- 2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
Prepare sandwich spread ahead of time by combining all 3 ingredients. Cover and refrigerate several hours or over night.
Cut slider rolls in half lengthwise and spread the bottom half with the Dijon-mayonnaise.
Layer on turkey, cheese, and roasted red pepper.
Top with other half of roll and heat in oven for about 5-7 minutes, until cheese is melted.
Place a pick through the center and serve on a party platter.
What cheeses go with turkey?
Turkey pairs well with a variety of cheeses such as Swiss, Gouda, Provolone, Havarti, Coby Jack or Monterey Jack, and White Cheddar.
What to serve with mini turkey sandwiches
Since these are typically served for appetizer parties, I have a list of other foods to help round out the menu.
- bourbon meatballs
- marinated shrimp cocktail
- artichoke dip or spinach dip
- pimento cheese spread
- vegetable cups
