Christmas Cocktail with Vanilla Vodka
Delicious Christmas cocktail with vanilla vodka, pineapple schnapps, and tropical fruit juice combine for a signature party drink I like to call a “Golden Tinsel.” Make it for a gold themed cocktail party or holiday girls night in.

‘Tis the season for great Christmas cocktails! Set your holiday party apart with the perfect vodka cocktail with tropical fruity flavors.
There are plenty of red, white, even green tinted cocktails to choose from for the holidays. But thanks to the pineapple liqueur, this party drink has a golden color. I decided to call it a Golden Tinsel cocktail and it looks so festive!
These would make a terrific signature beverage for a Christmas cocktail party or New Years Eve party. The gold color goes with so many celebrations!
Why You’ll Love It
- It’s a crowd favorite. Serve it for any Christmas party theme.
- The color and taste is versatile enough for year round entertaining, as well as the perfect drink for a New Years Eve dinner party.
- It’s easy to make for a celebration such as a college graduation party for the adults or for a golden anniversary party.

Ingredients & Substitutions
The combination of ingredients as listed makes this a sweet delicious cocktail. However there are some ways you can change it slightly to fit your needs.
- Vanilla vodka. The vanilla flavor adds depth but you can use regular flavored vodka instead. It will have a bit less flavor but still tasty!
- Pineapple schnapps. I use DeKuyper Tropical Pineapple liqueur and it adds fantastic tropical flavor and nuance.
- Mango juice. I use Welch’s brand Mango Passion Fruit Juice for this but you can substitute with another fruit juice like orange, peach, or tropical blend.
- Sparkling mineral water. Sparkling water has become a staple for me, in cocktails. You can add a splash or an ounce or two to give any drink a refreshing fizz. Use Pellegrino or Perrier, or for added sweetness you can use a splash of Sprite instead of the sparkling water.
I made these martinis in a cocktail shaker and garnished with frozen cranberries. They add a traditional touch and help keep it chilled at the same time.

What to Eat With It
- The taste is sweet so I like to balance it with a salty snack like spicy nuts, or a cheese board.
- Cheese & bacon canapes are easy to hold as you sip and eat.
- Make baked brie topped 3 ways and you’re good to go!
