A sparkling peach margarita is a delightful departure from the classic flavor. Serve it for Cinco de Mayo and all summer long. Get the recipe here.
Did you catch my cinco de mayo entertaining ideas from the other day? Well today I have a terrific sparkling peach margarita that will compliment your fiesta festivities perfectly!
I have to tell you that I’m not much of a tequila drinker but I do love a good margarita. I love that it’s not too sweet and it goes down smooth. It’s fun to switch it up though, and create a whole NEW kind of margarita, and that’s what I did for Clinton Kelly’s ‘Make Over Your Margarita’ Challenge.
I, along with some other bloggers, created a ‘rita’ recipe that takes the classic concept of tequila and citrus juice, and turns it into something special. I chose to use peach nectar and a little bubbly to give the traditional margarita a twist, and I think you’ll love the results as much as I do!

If you like light tasting, refreshing cocktails you must give this a try. You can also make these easy beer margaritas which taste fantastic. We usually make them for the beach!
Sparkling Peach Margarita
- 1 oz. good tequila
- 2 oz. peach nectar
- squeeze of a lemon wedge
- champagne or prosecco
Fill glass with ice and add tequila, peach nectar, and juice from a lemon wedge.
Stir to combine, and top off with prosecco.
Garnish with a peach slice if desired.
TIP: Add frozen peach sliced to drink to help keep it cold and add some style!
Try this drink for a peach themed shower too. Wouldn’t that be fun! You can make up a pitcher beforehand and serve it as your signature cocktail during the party. The color and flavor are right in theme!
