Ham & Parmesan Appetizers

Ham & Parmesan Appetizers offer your guests a flavorful bite perfect for cocktail parties, showers, or happy hour. It’s also one of my easy party appetizers for girls night in, and I make it often.

Everyone has their go-to list of party appetizers.  The ones you know will be a hit every time. They take little effort to prepare, and you can serve them for any type of gathering.  These ham and Parmesan canapes are one of my tried and true recipes. Make the topping mixture ahead in order to save time before the party. Then assemble and bake just as guests arrive.

These ham & Parmesan appetizers are the comfort food of appetizers with cheese, ham and baguette toasts all rolled into one.

Ham & Parmesan appetizers

I have served these at our Christmas cocktail party, at baby showers, and for ladies night. I always prepare the topping mixture ahead of time, like the night before or in the morning. The baguette slices are cut ahead so they’re ready to assemble.

When ready, spread the mixture on to the bread and bake them until ready.  The great thing is that you can literally stick them in the oven as the doorbell rings and they’ll be ready to eat in 20 minutes. That’s just enough time to say your “hello’s” and get a cocktail into everyone’s hand.

For more appetizers with ham and cheese check out these puff pastry ham & cheese pinwheels, and these ham & cheese phyllo cups. Even though ham and cheese are the main ingredients they all taste different.

Ham and cheese party appetizers can be served at casual functions as well as for dressier occasion.

These little canapes have mass appeal and work well for a dressier occasion as well as a casual one. They’re small and easy to pick up and eat in just 2-3 bites. You could pass them around on trays or place them on a cocktail party buffet table.

These party bites hold up well at room temperature for hassle free entertaining.
