DIY Hot Cocoa Mix Party Favors
I love sending bridal or baby shower guests home with something they can use up and feel good about. That’s why edible treats are on the top of my list for party favors. It can be as simple as a designer cookie wrapped in cellophane or a homemade mix placed in reusable jars, like this hot cocoa mix I included in my “Recipe for Love” bridal shower.
This hot chocolate mix is easy to create and perfect for this time of year as we head into cooler weather. The flip top jars are attractive {you could also use small mason jars} and can be used later to hold anything from paper clips, to bath salts, to small kitchen utensils. Get the recipe below…
Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix {for party favors}
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered nondairy creamer
- mini marshmallows
Combine cocoa, sugar, and creamer in a small bowl, and mix well. Pour into resealable jar, and top with a small amount of marshmallows.
Seal jar and attach these directions:
Mix 2 Tablespoons mix into 6 oz. hot water or milk. Top with marshmallows.
To make a large batch at one time, just remember to add equal parts cocoa and sugar, to 1/2 part nondairy creamer, and mix well.
Spruce up your favor jars with ribbon or stickers that coordinate with your parties theme and decor.
Cheers!
