Easy Sugared Pecans
These sweet candied pecans have a cinnamon-sugar coating with egg whites and a hint of cayenne, to strike the perfect balance. Bake them in the oven ahead of time for easy entertaining. Serve at cocktail parties, showers, brunch, or ladies luncheons.

I can’t think of any party or event where nuts aren’t a welcome snack option. Not only are they good for you, they can be flavored in an endless number of ways from savory to sweet to spicy.
This sweet recipe is one of my favorites as it combines meaty pecans with a cinnamon-sugar glaze, and they’re baked in the oven for a crisp bite they you won’t be able to stop eating!
Why You’ll Love It
- These are fabulous for a party. Fill a dish or bowl to set on the bar and side tables for guests to nibble on as they mingle.
- Make a double or triple batch to give as gifts during the holidays. Put them in small jars or cellophane bags tied with ribbon.
- These elevate appetizer salads. Toss them onto a green salad with fruit, cheese and a light vinaigrette.
- They’re ideal for snacking, but also included on a popcorn bar or dessert cheese board.

Helpful Tips
- I like using pecans for this recipe, but of course you could also use cashews, walnuts or almonds, too.
- Line your baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy removal and clean up.
- Combine the dry spices together in a small bowl separately so the flavors are evenly incorporated.
- Pecans will crisp up as they cool completely.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week, if they last that long! Or freeze for up to two months.

Easy Candied Pecans recipe
These sweet candied pecans have a cinnamon-sugar coating with egg whites and a hint of cayenne. They strike the perfect balance for appetizer parties or cocktails.
Ingredients
- 4 cups pecan halves
- 1 egg white
- ⅓ cup white sugar
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Whisk egg white in a bowl until foamy. Add pecan and stir to coat.
- In a separate bowl combine sugars and spices. Add to pecans and stir to coat evenly.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and spread pecans in a single layer.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, turning and stirring after 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely. Store in air tight container.
