This appetizer is unique and different from most dips. There’s chicken, cream cheese, pecans, and artichokes for a terrific blend of flavors and textures.

Serve it at room temperature or slightly chilled. There’s no worry about keeping it warm. 

It’s a make-ahead recipe so the flavors have time to blend together for the perfect bite. Make it the night before your party so the flavors can fully develop.

This is a fantastic option to take to potluck parties or other gatherings.

Take it out of the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before serving so it’s easily spreadable.

Serve this chicken artichoke cheese spread for ladies night, holiday parties, or happy hour. This party appetizer can be made ahead for easy entertaining. Double the recipe and freeze half for 2-3 months.

Ingredients

  • 1 12.5-ounce can premium chunk chicken breast meat or 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken breast meat
  • 1 block {8-ounce} light cream cheese, softened at room temperature
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Half of a 14-ounce can artichoke hearts, drained and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans, lightly toasted
  • 2 green onions, minced
  • 1/2 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Stir together all ingredients until well combined.
  2. Cover and chill 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
  3. Serve with crackers or baguette slices.

Notes

This recipe can easily be double for a large crowd, or you can divide it and freeze it in appropriate portion sizes.
