Golden Graduation Punch Family Friendly Recipe
This golden graduation punch is perfect to serve at family-friendly graduation parties. It’s fruity and sparkly and goes together in a snap. This party mocktail easily doubles or triples for a larger crowd and is great for kids parties, church groups, and family reunions, too.
Since graduation parties usually consist of family and friends of all ages, you’ll need to serve some family-friendly drinks and mocktails. This bright gold colored punch will look great served from a drink dispenser, a punch bowl, pitchers, or individual bottles.
Why You’ll Love It
- Easy. When you’re hosting a crowd you need simple solutions. This punch recipe has only two ingredients and you can mix it up in an instant!
- Serves a crowd. This recipe makes about 24 (8-oz) servings. You can simply double or triple if you need more.
- Crowd pleaser. The flavor is refreshingly fruity, fizzy, and lightly sweet. If you want to make a separate batch with alcohol, you can do so.
Ingredients & Substitutions
- Orange-Pineapple-Apple juice blend. I used Welch’s brand. Adapt it to your taste by substituting with your favorite flavor combination such as Mango twist.
- Sprite. It adds fizz and sweetness. If you want to make it a little less sweet, use ginger ale instead.
Expert Tips
- Combine ingredients just before serving to insure it’s nice and carbonated.
- Toss in some cut fruit that mimics the juice in the recipe. Sliced oranges, pineapple, and apples make a nice garnish similar to sangria. Use frozen fruit to help keep it chilled.
- Make it a cocktail by adding alcohol such as vodka, vanilla vodka, rum, or coconut rum.
Quick Tip
For a more adult version, just add 1 ½ ounces of vodka to a 6-ounce serving of punch.
Party Tips
- Chill the ingredients so all you have to do is pour them into a vessel and serve.
- Double or triple the recipe depending on how many guests you are expecting. Think 1 drink per guest, per hour.
- Set up a drink station with a punch bowl (or drinks dispenser), ladle, ice bucket, glasses and some cute themed napkins and garnishes. A self-serve beverage bar is a fun spot for guests to mingle.
- Celebrate with themed decorations. I love to match my signature drink color to my party theme like this black and gold graduation party. I particularly love these DIY graduation caps I made as bottle toppers! Decorations are an effective way to make an event feel cohesive between the setting, the food, and the drinks.
