Decorating an Easter Table

How fun is it to decorate an Easter tablescape with spring colors and accents! Setting the table and hosting Easter brunch is such a lovely tradition on Sunday morning, and this compilation of ideas will inspire your creativity.

Whether you’re serving a brunch menu or an Easter dinner, you’ll find place settings, centerpiece ideas, and festive details to welcome your guests. Some are whimsical, some are nature inspired, and some are just simply beautiful.

Choose A Theme

Yes, Easter is the overall subject, but when you follow a theme within a theme, it makes it so much easier to focus and coordinate everything for a cohesive look.

Do you want to go the traditional route with Easter motifs like bunnies, pastel colors, and lots of Easter eggs? Purchase a set of themed salad plates that can take your everyday white dishes into the holiday table.

Is a rustic vibe more your style with burlap, moss, and lots of greenery? Lay moss runners on a farmhouse table to let the wood show through. Decorate with wicker chargers, birds nests, and simple dishes.

Choose Your Colors

Once you have a theme it’s easy to pick a color scheme. It will support the theme you’ve chosen and help carry it out further.

Place Setting Ideas

Whether you want to assign seats with place cards or simply add a decorative touch to each plate, these are some easy ideas you can do.

Use Easter eggs as name cards. Write guests’ names directly on the eggs with markers, or go the extra step with printed ribbon or paper name tags tucked into a rubber band.

Centerpiece Ideas

Flowers are the quintessential Easter table centerpiece. You can start with seasonal flowers like tulips, daisies, daffodils, hyacinths, hydrangeas, carnations, baby’s breath, and mums. Here are some ideas to inspire your floral arrangements.

Design a show-stopper centerpiece with one large arrangement. Use an oversize vase or flower box and fill it to the brim with flowers. Here, I used blue and white varieties of hydrangeas, mums, carnations, and baby’s breath.

Use water-soaked floral foam to keep everything secure inside.

Create several smaller floral arrangements in pretty vessels that you can cluster together or line down the center of the table. I used pretty mini pitchers here, but you can also use clear glass vases, white or pastel vases, or colorful bottles.

Nothing says spring quite like tulips. They’re quite lovely when they droop over the side of the vase, and there’s a myriad of styles and colors to choose from.

You can also try your hand at a festive display of vegetables and fruit. Incorporate seasonal items like carrots, cabbage, and asparagus.

Easter Table Decorations

Use home decor pieces to extend your centerpiece outward along the table. Spring accents can help create a full, luxe look on the tablescape.
