What to Serve With Burgers
Choose from any of my favorite summer side dish recipes. Here are a few to get started.
- Serve with my sweet & spicy baked beans for a classic meal.
- My classic potato salad is always a crowd pleaser.
- Quick and easy pesto pasta salad with veggies.

Ingredients
I’m a big fan of sun dried tomatoes and I think the technique really brings out the sweetness in the tomato. The intensity of that flavor combined with the ground beef, and topped with the sun-dried tomato mayonnaise tastes great!
- Ground beef. Use somewhat lean meat so they don’t shrink too much while cooking. Remember, a little fat content adds flavor and moisture.
- Red onion. Use a medium to large size onion. You’ll chop half to mix into the ground beef and slice the other half into rings for topping your burger.
- Feta cheese. Use a container of crumbled feta to make it quick and easy to work with.
- Sun dried tomatoes. Grab a large jar of oil-packed sun dried tomatoes. You’ll use half for the burgers and half for the mayonnaise spread.
- Ciabatta rolls. Of course you can use your favorite rolls, but I find ciabatta to be particularly good with this recipe.
How To Make Them
- Combine the meat, chopped onion, feta, tomatoes, and salt & pepper in a large bowl and form into patties.
- Grill burgers over medium heat until juices run clear or internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
- Serve burgers on ciabatta rolls with lettuce and sliced onion. Top with my sun-dried tomato mayonnaise recipe.
Sun Dried Tomato Mayonnaise
Combine equal parts chopped sun-dried tomatoes and mayonnaise in a food processor or blender, and spread on buns for serving.
