Host A Pink Party For Breast Cancer Awareness

host a pink party

A couple of months ago I was hired to create some party ideas for a breast cancer awareness campaign with Estroven. The project is called SleepPink and the idea is to host a “GIRLS NIGHT IN” Pink Party to promote awareness and raise money for research.

Working with clients and projects like this is one of the things I love about my job, and I’m excited to share the design details with you. If you’ve been affected by breast cancer {directly or indirectly} I hope this speaks to you, and maybe you’ll even host your own SleepPink Party. If you do, you can submit photos to Estroven and they’ll make a $250 donation to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer {see link for details}!

Here are some highlights of the design:

  • Ribbons are a key design element here, found in the bunting, the napkins, the bows on the favor boxes, the cupcake toppers, and tied around serving pieces.
  • “Pink” food is served in the form of pink salmon, rosy pink watermelon salad, pink chocolate drizzled popcorn mix, and pink colored drinks.
  • Since this is a “sleep pink” party, I thought donuts and milk {actually a pink cocktail} were essential to the sweets table.
  • Pink favors complement the overall theme: a sleep mask, note cards, and a pocket planner to remind everyone of their monthly self examination.

Please visit the Estroven Sleep Pink site to see all the details and recipes, plus FREE printables for this party.  Also, I need to give a shout out to Nancy of A to Zebra Celebrations for the fabulous ribbon banner used here.  I love that the ribbon ties into the pink ribbon that is a symbol of breast cancer awareness.

If you like what you see here please PIN IT and share.
