Bacon Ranch Club Sandwich
A bacon ranch club sandwich is the perfect lunchtime meal!
How do you build the perfect sandwich? I may be a bit of a sandwich snob in that I don’t care for run of the mill “meat and cheese on white bread”. I DO, however, love a dressed up sammy with lots of flavors and texture….and bread….you know it’s all about the right bread.
I had the opportunity to work with Hidden Valley and create a sandwich using one of their new sandwich spreads & dips. It was hard to decide which flavor to use {there are 4} but in the end I chose the classic flavor, Smoked Bacon Ranch. I incorporated what I believe to be the best components of a sandwich and created this bacon-ranch club. It turned out so good I can’t wait for you to try it….
Bacon-Ranch Club Sandwich
- 1 {14 oz} bag slaw mix
- 1 cup Hidden Valley Bacon Ranch spread
- Round whole wheat sandwich thins, lightly toasted
- Smoked turkey breast from the deli
- 1 slice Muenster cheese
- Tomato, sliced
- Thick sliced Center Cut bacon, cooked
Combine slaw mix and bacon ranch spread; mix well. Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours or over night so flavors marry.
Open round sandwich thins and layer on bacon ranch slaw, 2 sliced of tomato, 2-3 slices turkey, cheese, 2-3 slices of bacon, and top with other half of bread.
Serve with chips and a pickle or fruit.
Let me just explain what makes this sandwich so good:
- First of all, the bread is sturdy and stands up to the layers inside, plus, these rounds have great flavor themselves.
- Layering the tomato on top of the slaw allows the juices to combine and makes it that much better.
- Bacon….enough said.
- I love the texture and crunch that the slaw gives. It’s one of my favorite components of a sandwich in general. There’s no sweetness to this bacon ranch slaw either – it’s all savory!
