DIY S’mores Kit Favors
Make these mini DIY s’mores kit favors for your guests when hosting an outdoor party. These fun favor boxes are perfect for a stylish take home gift and look great as part of the table setting. This would also make an adorable hostess gift. Incorporate this idea into any of your summer parties and send guests home with something sweet.

Make s’mores kit favors for your guests this summer, and add a twist to make them unique. We all know that s’mores and even s’mores kit favors are a classic idea for weddings and birthdays. They invoke memories of childhood and add an air of whimsy to the celebration.
For my ladies night at home I placed these s’mores kit favors at each place setting so I thought it would be a good idea to share them in more detail.
What makes these s’mores different is that they are in mini form, we use a substitute for the graham crackers, and even the chocolates are a little different. All the ingredients fit nice and neat in slider favor boxes.

What You Need
I chose to use mini waffle sandwich cookies (Stroopwafels) instead of graham crackers. They’re the perfect size and the thin layer of caramel adds even more flavor to the s’more. Other options are Vanilla Wafers, or even Ritz crackers for a salty-sweet combination.
The marshmallows are also downsized. Instead of the thick, traditional ones I chose these flatter shapes from Walmart. It fits with the “mini” theme so much better.
Finally, instead of traditional milk chocolate bar I chose Hershey’s Miniatures Special Dark varieties. I love dark chocolate and some have peanuts, some rice crispies, and some plain. It’s another level of flavor packed into a mini size.
I used these white slide boxes that are made to hold macarons. The size is just right!

How To Make It
Place the ingredients inside the box making sure you have 2 cookies per marshmallow and chocolate. That way you can make the s’more sandwich.
Close the the box and wrap it with bakers twine or ribbon and add a pretty tag. It can be a generic tag that says “thank you,” or you can put name tags that can double as place cards at each guests place setting.

Don’t these look so cute at each place setting! I hope you make these for your guests soon. It’s really inexpensive, easy, and quick to do. And your guests will go home even happier!

I love this idea, and such pretty packaging. I would love to do this for my team at work for Christmas. I was wondering where you got the small square marshmallows. Also, what would be the instructions for making them a smore. Do you sandwich everything and heat (in microwave?) or leave as is? I agree with Chloe, who said most people will eat them individually. Do you give any instructions in the package?
Hi Judy, I didn’t include directions – going on the assumption that everyone knows how to make s’mores 😉
The marshmallows are from Walmart.
Just use the waffle cookie as you would a graham cracker, heat the marshmallow over the fire, and sandwich between the cookies & a miniature chocolate.
i love this idea. I love stroopwaffles, and have never thought of them as a base for s’mores. Something new to try!! ?
Yes! Another great way to add flavor as they have a very thin layer of caramel inside.
Do you mind sharing where you purchased the boxes from? They look like they are the perfect size! Thank you!

Hi Melinda, I’ve updated the post with links to 2 different places. Hope that helps.
What sweet little parting gifts for a summer party! I bed some of those guests just snacked on the individual parts instead of making them into s’mores though! You just seem to throw the sweetest parties!
Thanks Chloe, and yes, I could totally eat these separately!
What a terrific favor for kids and adults alike! A guaranteed hit!
