Olive Tapenade Flatbread Appetizer

This olive tapenade flatbread is a delicious party appetizer inspired by the latest trend in restaurants. Flatbread crust is a terrific base for any pizza topping and turns it into an appetizer for entertaining at home. If you like olives you’re going to love this combination of flavors.

Flatbread pizza makes a fantastic party appetizer

Whenever we go out for a casual meal I love to order off the appetizer menu, and one of the hottest items I’m seeing lately is flatbread pizza appetizers. There are so many toppings to choose from and whatever they have available, I’m all in!

I love flatbread pizza in general because it’s thin and crispy, and usually smaller in size. Perfect as a meal for one or for sharing as an appetizer.

This olive tapenade flatbread uses only 3 ingredients for toppings, but they are all bold flavors. The combination of salty olives plus sweet red peppers is complemented by tangy goat cheese. It’s a party in your mouth!

The rectangular shape of this flatbread makes it very similar to what you would find in a restaurant. The size and shape make it easy to cut into small triangles that guests can pick up and eat with their hands, and it won’t fill them up before the main meal.

Serve this as part of an appetizers and cocktails spread with my bourbon-lemon iced tea, or as a tasty nibble before a dinner party. Add some protein and a salad on the side and this can become a quick meal for the family.

If you love flatbread pizza as much as I do then you may want to try my favorite honey ham flatbread, or Mediterranean style flatbread
