Pool Party Ideas {Guest Feature}

Pool Party feature

Hi guys, I’m back!! I hated being away from the blog for so long last week, but with the move I haven’t had a moments rest or more than 10 minutes to hop online and check emails. While we still have some boxes of props and supplies to bring over, I’m thankful to Brittany of GreyGrey Designs for sending over this pool party design that I can share with you all.

Brittany styled this party for Birthday Express to showcase their pool party collection. She also added lots of personal and creative touches to give the products a more custom look. This is a great lesson on how to individualize those mass produced paper goods!

Sweets Table

  • One of my favorite details of this design is the lifeguard chairs with push pops on top. A very creative and unexpected use for the paper chairs. The push pops are filled with blue jello to mimic water.
  • Brittany made a cake and swirled together white and blue tinted frosting to create a water effect.
  • You won’t believe how the “0” rings were created. She cut pool noodles crosswise using a sharp knife! The “0’s” are used to create a table runner, a hanging swag, and a mobile.
  • Chipboard letters were painted and covered with paillettes {using hot glue} to give texture to the “swim” display.

Favor Table

  • Blue and green hued drinks were bought at Target and the labels removed. Brittany attached striped straws using coordinating washi tape {another favorite detail}.
  • Lollipops, taffy, and flip flops make great favors for a pool party, and cupcake boxes hold a special treat to enjoy at home.

Don’t you love all the special touches added to the party? Lots of great ideas for an end of summer party or birthday.
