Ideas For A Little Girls Tea Party

If you need ideas for a little girls tea party you’ve come to the right place. Follow these tips and ideas to host a tea party birthday or princess party.

Ideas for a little girls tea party

Planning and styling parties is so much fun for me, but I know there are many moms out there who need the convenience of a prepared theme. That’s where the concept of the “party in a box” comes in and Hens and Chicks Parties has some classic girly themes to choose from. I was contacted by Ty to style a party to showcase her new Tea Party package and to offer up ideas to customize your party and make it unique.

With the addition of some printables, flowers, lots of ribbon, and creativity, here are the ideas I came up with for a seated table & sweets display.

How to set a tea party table setting

  • I filled a tea pot with fresh hydrangeas. The blue of the flower brings out the blue in the tea cups from the set. Blue also became an accent color throughout the party.
  • I tied up the utensils with thin ribbon and kept the tails long and trailing.
  • What else do you serve at a “pink” tea party other than pink lemonade!?
  • I made the cutest diy tea party favors that were filled with cookies and double as place cards as they are displayed inside the tea cups. A free printable tea bag tag from Accent the Party finishes it off perfectly.

Ideas for tea party dessert cart

  • The top tier of the cart is covered in faux flowers – a creative touch that is so easy to do. Just pull flowers {from the craft store} off their stem and place them down.
  • Keep the set up easy by filling apothecary jars with color-coordinated candy. The girls can fill up favor boxes with the treats before they leave.
  • A looped ribbon garland adorns the front of the tea cart. Clip on flowers anchor it at each end.
  • More ribbon and flowers decorate the jars.
  • A printable “tea party” sign, and tags from A Blissful Nest are a great way to add graphic details. The circle tags are attached to small doilies and top the favor boxes.
  • Don’t get stuck in the kitchen baking for the party. Make one stand-out dessert like mini bundt cakes that look as good as they taste.
  • The boxed set also includes all the dress up items you’ll need like tutus, pearls, hats, glove, and even a feathery fan and Victorian style umbrella. Set them out on a table along with glittery nail polish and a mirror so the girls can play dress-up.
  • To hold the tutus, I hung a dowel with wide ribbon from a tree branch. An easy thing to do and it lets the girls pick their own.

Really lovely decor. I am impressed with the whole party attire and at the same time inspired too to have just the same decor or my daughter’s birthday party too. I am sure it will be a memorable party.

Your pictures are lovely. We purchased girls tea party hats for little girls at an online store that my friend recommended. They have many different trims and colors to choose from. I’ll have to send you a
    picture!
