There are so many cute ideas for St. Patrick’s Day. Some incorporate green, while others focus on shamrocks, rainbows or gold.

When you combine several ideas together you come up with the best of all worlds, and a great way to add special touches if you’re hosting a party.

I’ve gathered some of my favorite finds for you below. There are some decorating ideas, some treats and recipes, and overall inspiration for celebrating with kids.

Invitation & Décor

Begin by sending or hand-delivering invitations. Place gold coins in a cellophane bag along with the party details, and top with these printable toppers that read, “It’s your Lucky Day.” This is the first sign to your guests that this will be a fun party.

For a centerpiece or other décor, make these plant-filled beer mugs wrapped with green themed labels.

Fun Treats

These ideas are perfect for class parties, party favors, or after school snacks for the kids. Use these “Kiss Me I’m Irish” printable tags to tie on to small gifts or favor bags.

Mix up some St. Patty’s themed Muddy Buddies with green M&M’s or make a batch of leprechaun bait Chex mix to add into the favor bags.

Shamrocks

Yummy shamrock cupcakes are simple to make with green food coloring.

Start the day with shamrock cinnamon rolls for breakfast and drizzle on some green tinted glaze.

Sip on a green shamrock shake that’s got a minty flavor and full of good ingredients like bananas!

Make a batch of easy and delicious shortbread cookies that are tinted with green food coloring and cut out in the shape of a shamrock.

Rainbows

Now it’s time to taste the rainbow! Set up a rainbow colored drink station or ice cream soda bar with rainbow streamers as the backdrop.

Make rainbow sugar cookie bark or a fun rainbow layer cake for dessert.

Send guests home with adorable rainbow & gold favors made up of Twizzlers and gold foiled chocolates. These are adorable!

For “entertainment” include a beer tasting session with a variety of Irish beers.

For dessert, make some rainbow mini cupcakes and display them layered on a skewer as shown above. Let each guest pull the top one off to eat.

If you invite kids, offer them green-tinted milk and Lucky Charms cereal snack cups!
