I’m sharing a gorgeous guest feature styled shoot today, to inspire your winter entertaining outdoors. Styled by One Fine Day, and photographed by Lynne Graves, this outdoor gathering celebrates the New England winters and the iconic activities that can be enjoyed such as ice skating, sledding, bonfires, building s’mores, and drinking hot cocoa.

“This styled shoot took place on a beautiful private property in Connecticut. Our inspiration came from the simple thought of “Winter in New England”. We want to encourage others to throw a wonderful winter party with family, friends, or even a Jack & Jill for their Wedding!

In New England winter is embraced by many! With delicious food, a cozy fire, blankets to snuggle with, ice skates for the pond, and of course sleds, you can easily have a memorable day! We chose decor elements that are easy to find around your house or yard, including using a door for our table, tree stumps for the legs, wine bottles to hold our taper candles, tin plates, a ladder turned into our ice skate rack, baskets and sleds!

We used colorful fabric to create our own napkins & table runners (on the dessert table) and even threw in sparklers to liven up our scrumptious hot chocolate!”
