New Years Eve Golden Glam Dinner Party

Golden Glam Dinner Party

I’m on such a gold and glam kick this season, I just can’t get enough of it! I decided to create this inspiration shoot for a modern and glamorous New Years Eve golden glam dinner party that’s filled with gold sequins, black and white graphic prints, and a few festive details.

New Years Eve is the perfect time to glam it up and host a fabulous dinner party for a few close friends. I love the gold and black color combination because I think it’s synonymous with “celebration.”

What’s more is that you can serve an elegant meal accompanied by an elegant sparkling wine like Freixenet (pronounced Fresh-eh-net). The black bottle coordinates with the decor. Don’t YOU match your drinks to your party design?!

Check out all the ideas, plus a couple of recipes.

New Years Eve Dinner Party Decoration

  • Dine under a canopy of balloons: just hang them from your chandelier. I used an “S” hook to raise the chandelier chain so the balloons wouldn’t be too low.
  • Differentiate the boys place settings from the girls with these suggestions: place DIY bow ties on the male’s plates, and masquerade masks on the gal’s.
  • Make a festive centerpiece: attach glitter numbers that denote the new year, to wooden skewers, using glue strips. Insert them into a flower arrangement.
  • Decorate the table: sprinkle a little bit of gold and black confetti in the center of the table. Wrap tin noise makers with gold glitter tape or ribbon and lay then out. Fill a small vase with blowers and noise makers so they’re easy to grab at midnight. Frame a simple sign to add to the other end of the table.
  • Set up a coordinating snack table: whether you’re eating an early dinner or a later one, you will still need a place for dessert and/or snacks to be displayed. I designed this coordinating New Years Eve party food table where you can see all the details, recipes, and free printables designed just for us by Kori Clark.
  • Add these mini glasses of champagne jello squares for a festive treat.
  • Serve a signature cocktail: set up a bar area with sparkling wine in the signature black bottles. Serve the sweet CuvĂ©e as is, and the classic Brut over 1/2 oz of pomegranate juice. Garnish with a few pomegranate arils.
  • Festive Favors: place mini bottles of Freixenet at place settings so guests can take it home and enjoy it later.

Winter Fruit Salad

  • Mixed salad greens {I like the “fancy” mix in the pre-packaged containers}
  • Orange cut into bite size slices
  • Pomegranate arils
  • Goat cheese
  • Glazed walnuts {usually packaged in the produce section}

Vinaigrette dressing

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/8 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/8 cup pomegranate juice

Arrange salad on individual plates. Whisk together vinaigrette ingredients until well combined and drizzle over salad when ready to serve.

PARTY TIP: Use this old restaurant trick (from my waitressing days) to keep salads ready to serve. Plate the salads individually and place them on a large tray or baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve. Top with dressing just before serving.

salads tip

Who says the holidays are the only time for bubbles? Make it your resolution to sparkle 365 days of the year with Freixenet cavas. Our sparkling wines come in a variety of different styles to suit any moment or mood. Cordon Negro Brut, our classic Black Bottle Bubbly, is great as an aperitif before a night out on the town or at home with takeout pizza. Our brand new Cordon Negro Sweet Cuvee is the perfect match for brunch favorites like pancakes and eggs benedict. This is a sponsored conversation written by me. The opinions and text are all mine.

The most important thing about parties & entertaining is the guest list! Next, it should be delicious, beautiful, unique, and fun. Calling on my years of experience, I’ll show you how to pull it all together with style. Cheers!
