Silver and Gold New Years Eve

It’s time to break out the blowers and noise makers again and ring in a new year.  I wanted to create an intimate dinner party with the idea of champagne bubbles & counting down the clock.  These are simple ideas you can implement – I didn’t buy anything new for this table except the grocery items.  I’m also sharing the printable items FREE here.  Check out all the details for the design, below.

Simple ideas you can use:
  • I used a gold throw to cover the table.  It has a velvety texture and immediately brings a touch of elegance to the table.
  • The centerpiece is a fishbowl vase filled with clear, gold, and white ball ornaments to mimic the effect of champagne bubbles.  Adding a clock and hour glass brings in the “countdown” idea.
  • I added a single white flower to the center arrangement and embellished the tips with a little glitter glue & glitter.
  • Each place is set with gold charger and clear plate.  I love using my clear glass plates as it allows me to do something interesting underneath.  In this case I designed the face of a clock to go along with the theme.
  • Mini bottles of champagne are dressed up with a bottle tag and could be used as a favor or served with dinner.
  • Offering take home favors is simple when you fill a silver cupcake wrapper with color-coordinated candies and wrap it up with a bow and tag.  I also thought a breakfast muffin would be appropriate for the guests to indulge in the morning after.
I hope this gives you some ideas for your own New Years Eve dinner party – or any dinner party for that matter.  Cheers!

    1. Dominique, I just used a glitter kit that has a bottle of glue with brush applicator included. Just brush the edges of the flower with the glue, then dip the flower into the glitter that’s been sprinkled onto a paper plate.

  3. Lovely tablescape – I love the use of the clock face – it is perfect to ring in the New Year!
