Garden Cocktail Party
Today’s guest feature party is from Virginie at That Cute Little Cake. She hosted a ladies night gathering and designed it around her British roots with an English picnic feel. Pretty fabrics and a beautiful courtyard garden setting give this party lots of charm. The cocktail of the night is a traditional British Pimm’s cocktail made with Pimm’s liqueur and lemonade and berries {sounds similar to the Spanish sangria dont you think?}.
Check out the lovely details shared by Virginie, below…
From Virginie: “As the days are getting warmer here in Northern California I find myself longing for a Pimm’s night ! Back in the UK, where I just moved from 4 months ago, Pimm’s is associated with summer, BBQs, Picnics and cricket matches !!! It’s the laid back drink for lazy summer days. The cocktail is a mix of Pimm’s and lemonade, with lots of berries, cucumber and mint leaves thrown in. I would always host a Pimm’s night during the summer for my girlfriends in the UK so I have decided to keep this little tradition and host my first American Pimm’s night! I wanted the evening to have a Vintage British Picnic feel, with roses and bunting. We drank Pimm’s, of course and I made Pimm’s cupcakes and French Strawberry tarts in jars. I had decorated some pretty mini candles to match the theme and it looked beautiful when it got darker with all the lit candles.“
Beautiful…love the jars…and the casual presentation!
I want the same ladies night party 🙂
Thank you so much for the lovely feature !
