Farm Themed Birthday Party

If your child is an animal lover, they’ll love this farm themed birthday party! Set it up in your own back yard with inspiration from these party decorations, snack ideas, and table setting.

A barnyard theme or farm theme party is so cute, fun and timeless. And it’s pretty simple to pull off when you incorporate these simple ideas.

Plus, you can host in your own back yard or search for a local petting zoo or farm that will allow you to host it there.

Decorations

  • Red, blue or yellow bandanas are perfect for this theme.
  • Sunflowers or wildflowers make the perfect centerpiece.
  • Rustic wood picnic tables are right at home here.
  • Use big bales of hay as seating. Drape a piece of fabric or flannel throw over it to make it more comfortable.
  • Fresh vegetables make great décor on tables and centerpieces.
  • Shop thrift stores for vintage cow bells.
  • Use new clean gardening shovels as food servers for things like potato salad or pasta salad.

Snacks

Serve milk and cookies for a delicious themed treat. Use mini milk bottles to serve the milk in.

In the same thought, serve mini cups of ice cream.

Serve popcorn in paper snack cones.

Fill small pales or buckets with peanuts in the shell and let guests help themselves.

Party Favors

Send guests home with mini pies. Place them in small bakery boxes and tie them with bandana style ribbon.

Tablescape

  • Fill the center of the table with mini bales of hay you can find at the craft store. Use it as a level to place other items on.
  • Instead of a mixed bouquet of flowers, create a few smaller arrangements in a single color.
  • Use fruit and vegetable cans as vases, after you’ve cleaned them out of course.
  • Incorporate dried colorful corn cobs.

Activities

  • Play old fashioned yard games such as sack race, wheelbarrow race, Red Rover, egg on a spoon relay, etc.
  • Hire a petting zoo service to come in for an hour or two.
  • Hire a pony ride service.

How cute is this farm themed birthday party? It would be so cute for toddlers or a baby shower.
