A Painting-themed Birthday Party

I have an ADORABLE guest party feature today. Mom, Adwoa Osei, created a painting party for her 7 year old daughter, and it’s completely different from most art parties, with it’s use of a soft feminine color palette, and glitter galore.

There are some fantastic details to see, including that “dripping paint” cake, the DIY mini frames, hanging paint brush banner, and glittered backdrop. Even the cake pops have paint brushes as their handle!

The obvious activity at this party is painting their own canvas, which in turn, creates their own take home favors. Check out all the girly details below…

From Adwoa: “My daughter is my artsy, crafty bug! She chose the theme and the colors as we tried to stay away from using only primary colors. I used a lot of paint chip paper in my décor. Wrapping some around the handles of the hanging brushes added a pop and some depth to the homemade glitter foam board. I used them in my mini place signs and to decorate the store bought soda as well. The paint brushes provided a colorful addition to my cake pops and the floral vases as well. For the cake she wanted paint dripping down the sides which we created using thick, colored simple sugar glaze. Each kid got to take home their finished canvases and a portrait shot of themselves, using an old picture frame.”

Don’t you just love the color combo and glittery gold?! This party is so fabulous I think it would work great for an adult theme as well, don’t you!

Have a great day.
