Sausage And Pancake Skewers
Make Sausage and Pancake Skewers for a back-to-school breakfast that’s as fun as it is delicious. Moms know, it’s the little special touches that make memories!
Did you know that September is National Breakfast Month? I don’t know who comes up with these things but if it’s food related, it’s okay by me! Actually, it probably has to do with the idea of school starting and sending kids off with a good breakfast to start their day.
In honor of that fact, I thought it would be fun to serve up a typical breakfast in a not-so-typical fashion. Our family loves sausage and pancakes, but wouldn’t it be even more interesting and fun to serve them on a skewer!
Sausage and Pancake Skewers
It’s as simple as making your pancakes into small circles instead of larger ones, and then threading them onto a wooden skewer, alternating with sausage patties. For balance, it’s a good idea to use 2 sausage patties with 4-6 mini pancakes per skewer. Pour a small ramekin of syrup and let the dunking begin!
I guarantee the kids will enjoy the start of the school day just a little bit more with this simple trick. And the good thing is that it really doesn’t take much extra time on mom’s part.
What do you think? Will you give it a try?
