A Modern Owl Baby Shower Theme
Get ideas and inspiration for a Modern Owl baby shower theme. Tablescape, dessert table, favors, and more are included here.
Owl themes have been popular for a couple of years now in everything from Halloween to bridal showers. One of my latest projects for Celebrations was to create ideas for a Modern Owl Baby Shower inspired by the owl invitation from Pear Tree Greetings. I loved putting this party together using the invitation’s color scheme and a clean modern design {so many of my designs are driven by rustic/shabby chic/vintage concepts}.
I posted the links to this article last month, but today I wanted to share a few more photos with you….
The owl invitations are so cute that I used them in the decor on both the luncheon table and the dessert table. Other owl details are added in food and display ideas using our orange & green color palette. A new twist is given to traditional “baby shower punch” and “mom & baby” owl cupcakes are served. Get these and all the ‘how to’s’ in my article here. See shopping resources below.

Love it Chris!
Good Baby Shower Theme
Very cute…I like the way you did the napkins with the long ribbon coming down off the plate. I still love the owl theme….
I just discovered your website and just love all of your design details. Very classy. For this owl theme, can you tell me where you found those adorable ceramic owls? I’m doing a woodland theme baby shower and would love to find something like these adorable owls! And what was your menu? Thank you.
Thank you, Linda. I found the owls at Michael’s but I’ve seen similar at many other stores like Home Goods, TJMaxx, Hobby Lobby, etc.
This was an editorial article I did for Celebrations site so there wasn’t a “real” menu. However I would suggest a light luncheon like the one I did here (again, for Celebrations) http://www.celebrations.com/content/quick-simple-baby-shower-lunch-menu
These ideas are great! How did you do the owl punch stir sticks? Is the punch just sherbet and champagne?
Kristi, I used the owl paper punch (linked at the bottom of the post) and attached to plastic stir sticks with double sided tape.
The punch is simply sherbet + champagne OR ginger ale.
Chris. Very delicate and beautiful. Love your use of fabric. Congratulations.
I accidentally discovered this site and I have to say is amazing. Above all it is very inspiring. My congratulations. Now it is among my bookmarks.

Lorena, that is so sweet to hear (read). Thanks for your kind words.
Such a cute theme and I love the colors you used. I’ve had these amazing owl couple from Michael’s and I’ve been saving them for something special, I love your inspiration!
Just love this, Chris! Love the tablecloth and placemat used as runners, love the asymmetrical dessert table. Especially love that it’s not over the top but looks fab!!
Thanks so much Jennifer. The “runner” is actually just a cut of fabric – even easier! ; D
Gorgeous! I love the colors. Classy as usual my friend.
Thanks Lindi! xo
I love this creative baby shower and it’s fresh color scheme! Where did you find the adorable clipboards for the games? Everything came out so cute!
Thanks Valerie. I got the mini clipboards for $1 each either at Target or Michael’s dollar aisle. I see them a lot off and on at those places.
