Turn A Cigar Box Into A Gift Box
I think today’s diy project is super cute and a great recycling idea at the same time. Found on Design Sponge, this project turns wooden cigar boxes into pretty {or “handsome”} gift boxes perfect for Valentine’s Day or Male birthdays. You can usually find these wooden boxes at cigar shops for about $2 a piece and they make nice storage boxes for later too.
- The simple steps to turn this trash into treasure are: line the inside with wax, tissue, or other paper; fill it with a yummy treat like candy or cookies; add a sweet note insides; embellish the outside with ribbon, twine, paper or scrapbook accessories, etc.
The result is beautiful and thoughtful. This would be a great way to wrap a birthday gift for the man who loves cigars, to hold favors for a Havana Nights party, or to add a masculine touch to any gift. To see the full details and tutorial visit Design Sponge.

So love this! I’m with Rebekah – wish I had a cigar box to use!
meant to say ‘wishing’ that I had a cigar box to use! As in, I need to find myself one! Fun idea, thanks for sharing Chris.
oh love. I wish I had a few cigar boxes lying around- but only for the wrapping aspect!
