Rustic Elegant Bridal Brunch {Guest Feature}

Today we’re bringing a bit of faux snow to the blog with this Rustic-Elegant Brunch styled shoot by Wednesday Custom Design. The backdrop for the photos is an incredible rustic venue that adds charm and personality, while the vintage elements add warmth and coziness.

It all begins with a simple color palette of orange and cream, and a whimsical focal point – strands and strands of marshmallow garlands that mimic snow falling over the table! The table is topped with layers of old lace cloths and a wood plank ‘runner’. The vintage theme is carried through to a side table set with drinks and a few pretty accessories.

Since this is a brunch, one area is set up with a breakfast bar of donut holes, crepes, and stacks of pancakes – the perfect special occasion brunch or late night ‘snack’ bar. The food is offset beautifully with DIY braided yarn garlands draped above and below {LOVE those!}. Everything is displayed with rustic flair using cut tree pedestals and a single drawer.

Favors of assorted tea bags are wrapped up in lace and placed in small cardboard crates with a tag that appropriately says, “Warmth & Love.” I love how the braided garlands are draped over the chairs and repeat the brunch bar’s decor.

These stunning details would be wonderful used in a Bridal Shower or Wedding Brunch. With a combination of Rustic and Vintage the eclectic design is both romantic and comforting.

    I have tried to thread the marshmallows with needle and thread, the needle gets too sticky and they get stuck. I tried fishing line which did not require a needle, but the line got too sticky. We tried to use cooking oil to coat the needle and the fishing line and neither worked. Any suggestions?

    I love the marshmallows flowing down! This would be fantastic as a camping party as well!

    That looks like it is as much fun putting it together as it would be to party.

    This shoot is just gorgeous and what a brilliant idea with the marshmallows – I LOVE it. It truly does look like it’s snowing. Such pretty colors and I’m in love with the tablesetting and paper goods.
