Ideas For A Wine Themed Wedding

One of the projects I did recently for Celebrations was this wine themed wedding with ideas on how to incorporate wine into the celebration. Inspired by invitations from Pear Tree Greetings, I designed the sweetheart table, escort table, and wine & cheese tasting table that’s a great idea for the cocktail hour. All of the ideas here including the chalkboard bottle, cork place card holders, and wine & cheese pairings can be found in my article. Please take a few moments to check it out – even if you just want to host a wine & cheese party with friends!

  1. For couples that love a fine vintage, wine theme wedding favors make perfect gifts for their guests. The selection of gifts ranges from wine charms to personalized wine glasses. Gifts can be literal such as wine stoppers or pourers. Others are a bit more subtle such as votive holders with a grape theme. These favors allow the bride and groom to pass on their love of wine and capture other elements of their wedding at the same time.

  3. Hi, I was wondering, on one of your pictures here, it looks like your names are printed on the corks. If they are, I love it! That is one of my ideas, I just dont know how to go about printing them on the cork. Can you tell me how you did that?

    1. Actually, those are corks from the bottles so they have the winery printed on them. Hmmm, I’m not sure how you could do that. I’m sure there must be a special etching tool to use, or contact cork distrubutors to see if they can do custom “printing”??

  4. For our wedding two years ago, we placed a bottle of wine on each table, and had our guests all write their “guestbook” messages and sign their names in silver permanent pen on the side. We had nine tables, so had nine bottles to take home at the end of the night. Our plan is to open one each year on our anniversary for the first nine years and enjoy re-reading the messages on the outside (we especially chose a wine that is expected to improve with age!).

  5. I love these ideas! I’m doing a cork themed wedding next year. I’m having guests sign a cork for the guestbook! I’ll pass this post along to my bride!
