Winter Wonderland Holiday Party Ideas

Winter wonderland dinner party

If you love the idea of a classic Winter Wonderland holiday party, I think you’ll like this styling project I did for SheKnows last year.  I created a tabletop using silver and white, sequins, fuzzy fur, and a little glitter.  The ideas are easy to follow and have high impact.

This would make a great dinner party idea all winter long, so don’t dismiss it once Christmas has passed. Think New Years Eve, a special birthday celebration, even an anniversary or engagement party! It’s all about creating that “winter wonderland” indoors.

Winter Wonderland Holiday Party Ideas

  • Cover the table in silver sequined fabric, and use a sheep skin throw rug as a “runner”.
  • Silver chargers and my silver rimmed good china are set for each place setting. Silver napkins and a wintry spray ornament tops each plate.
  • Small favors are wrapped for each guest, with a little rhinestone “ribbon.” Free printable tags and place cards are used here too.
  • A centerpiece of white flowers {hydrangeas and large mums} gets dressed up with silver snowflake ornaments tucked inside.
  • A snack table is set up with a “snowball” cocktail, and spicy pecans. Use this recipe for the cocktail here – just add a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream to make it a “melting snowball.”
  • For dessert, Kahlua pecan pie, and cupcakes topped with snowflake-shaped fondant by Edible Details, is serve.
  • Free printable tags and place cards were designed by Kori Clark, just for us!
