Weekend Style :: Home, Food, Fashion

weekend living

What a week this has been in the news.  Between the tragedies seen in Texas and Boston, I hope to bring you some relief here on the blog with inspiration for nesting and entertaining.  If you’re looking to share the weekend with loved ones, or spruce things up a bit, here are my style picks of the week:

  • Ruffled tablecloths are so popular and chic, but have you priced them out before?  They’re not cheap!  A Bubbly Life shows you how to make your own NO SEW version and it looks great.
  • I love finding ways to change up my home decor without spending a fortune, or having to change out everything around it.  One such way to do that is to add a patterned backing to bookshelves.  A Little Glass Box shares her transformation and the styling of the shelves is worth a look itself!
  • I have to say this is pretty much my perfect weekend outfit for ladies night, dinner out with friends, or date night.  A sassy blouse, jeans, and sky high heels do it for me!  The lightness of it all is perfect for Spring too.
  • Outdoor entertaining is here for some, and on the horizon for others around the country {world}.  This outdoor dining spot is absolutely fantastic.  See all the details by Brittany Makes for the Home Depot design challenge.
  • I’m always on the lookout for new and tasty side salads to serve.  This roasted corn salad with goat cheese and walnuts sounds amazing.  I can’t wait to make it!
  • Salted caramel is a big trend right now and these salted caramel cheesecake bars…well, I think the name speaks for itself.  YUM!
