Spring Dessert Table With DIY Tips {Guest Feature}

The talented duo {Jen & Karis} of The Sunshine Party Studio recently styled a beautiful dessert table to add to their business portfolio. They shared it with me and I think it’s not only pretty to look at, but also filled with some helpful tips you could use too. The colors are a lovely combination of teal, mint, and coral, and the food selection gives a nod to classic “fair” treats with kettle corn, cotton candy, and circus peanuts.

Check out the details and diy tips below

Tips for creating the look:

  • Painted wooden spindles & disks are attached to one another to create pedestals for cake pops.
  • Painted picture frames are used as “trays” to hold bottles of lemonade and bags of kettle corn.
  • Ribbon details are added to the sleek cake design, to give a little extra pizazz.
  • Accordion fan rosettes are made from scrapbook paper & paper bags, and hung as a backdrop.
  • Cotton candy is placed in individual containers for easy grabbing.
  • Painted stands and boxes add height to the display, while apothecary jars add classic charm.

    1. I’ve seen those bottles before, but can’t remember where. Maybe World Market/Cost Plus?? I think they come with lemonade inside.
