Nautical Baby Shower Brunch {guest feature}

I have a lovely Nautical Baby Shower to share today, from Jennifer of Mr & Mrs. Wedding and Events. Nautical themes are always so fun because you can do so many things with it and I don’t think I’ve ever seen any two that look alike – funny since usually the same elements are used! This was for 2 sisters who are both pregnant with boys and decorating their nurseries with nautical themes (one sailboats, the other with whales). Read on for Jennifer’s description…

Since both of the babies will be boys I wanted to do preppy colors and chose navy and yellow with the stripes also adding some “prep” in the tablecloths. I also chose to do a lot of white to make it a little more sweet and “babyish”. My most favorite find for this shower was an old silver minnow bucket that I found at Gaslamp Antiques in Nashville. (love that place!) I filled it with pretty white hydrangeas. I also found 2 life preservers that said “Welcome Aboard” that we got as a gift to the mommies that they could use in their nurseries.”

We played Beach Boys music the entire time which makes for a very relaxed atmosphere. We also did a drink table with a “drink like a fish” banner and hung shirts that I found at TJMAXX for the boys that said ‘Mommy’s 1st Mate’.”

What a cute shower, Jennifer! I love the mini name banners made from small wooden letters, the “sips ahoy” straws, and the “drink like a fish” sign!

What other great ideas do you love from this shower?
