My New Wine Fridge from NewAir {review}

review newair wine fridge

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of wine.  It’s something I developed a taste for later in life {just the past 5-6 years} and now I consider it one of the simple pleasures to indulge in.  If I could end every day week over a table of charcuterie, wine, & jazz, with my husband and/or friends, that would be pure bliss.  We’ve even picked out a nook in the basement for our future wine cellar!

When I was contacted by NewAir to try out their wine fridge and review it here on the blog, well…my answer was a resounding YES!  I’ve always wanted a wine fridge, and we’ve actually shopped around for one, but hadn’t pulled the trigger on it yet.  Ideally I’d love one integrated in to our kitchen counter but it wasn’t really an option when we built.  I did find a spot in the morning room off the kitchen, where it fits perfectly for now.  Later, when we finish the basement and build a dry bar we’ll move it down there.

  • We received the 21 bottle dual zone thermoelectric wine cooler and couldn’t wait to fill it!  There are 2 temperature zones so you can store white wine on top, and red on the bottom.  White wine is best stored between 40-45 degrees, while red is at 50-55 degrees.
  • Once we filled the fridge, we gave it a good 18 hours {basically over night} for the temperature to level out since the room temperature bottles brought up the cooler temperature at first.  In fact, each time you open the door the temperature goes up a little.  That’s not really a problem though, since your bottles are still staying cool.

  • Inside the fridge, the storage racks slide out so you can fill and retrieve bottles easily.  They actually slide smoother when they are filled with bottles than when they’re empty.
  • There’s also a light in each section so you can see the labels when your looking for wine.  They’re fairly dim, with that bluish tone like the temperature display, and I actually like leaving them on at night just for mood lighting, or a night light in the room.
  • You’ll also notice the door is stainless and glass.  We love the look of the stainless and it matches the rest of our appliances beautifully.

  • Finally, it was time to try out some wine that had been stored!  I love the fact that I don’t have to “think ahead” anymore, and put a bottle of white in the refrigerator hours before I want it.  Likewise, I don’t have to wait 20 minutes after putting a bottle of red in the refrigerator {because you NEVER serve red at room temperature which is usually about 70 degrees}.

I’m still in the honeymoon phase with my new wine fridge and look forward to using it for years to come.  A big thanks to NewAir for providing it and making this post possible.  If you’re in the market for a wine cooler, check them out and watch this video for features.  Cheers!

    We have a cooler that holds 12 bottles & I’ve been thinking I need to upgrade. My husband is making us wait to open some bottles & they are taking up too much space!

    This is such a good looking wine fridge. Love it! And love the dual temp zones. No one loves a hot bottle of red wine and sometimes, that’s just what happens when it’s stored at our house temperature. :)
