Little Gentleman 1st Birthday Party {guest feature}

I could not resist sharing this adorable first birthday party sent in by Jennifer of Honeycomb Events. She created this “Little Gentleman” themed birthday party for her little guy and you are going to die when you see his sweet photo below!

Jennifer gave this party a real ‘gentleman’s lounge’ feel that is even fit for adults. With ‘manly’ fabrics and patterns like houndstooth, plaid, and leather, set up against  dark wood shelves, the dessert and drinks tables are ready for service. I think you’ll agree this is one of the cutest boy parties we’ve seen in a long time.

Jennifer tells us a bit about the party details, “Upon arrival the little guests went to the “grooming station” and were fitted with a bow tie. Then they grabbed a sign with “Rules of a Gentleman” and acted them out while posing for the camera. It was great to see how boys and girls alike loved dressing up in bow ties and acting sophisticated!

We also created a drinks station where guests were encouraged to mix up fun concoctions like Shirley Temples and Roy Rogers. both kids and adults had a great time sipping drinks out of brandy glasses and paper straws, feeling very dapper! We also wrapped vintage soda bottles with custom labels, paper straws, and a party label.”

“The favors had customized labels sewn onto muslin bags and included a bubble pipe and vintage candies.”

Once again here is a party that is not over done, but has included a few thoughtful touches that are beyond cute. I love the suitcases with party paraphernalia, the first year photo display, everything on the dessert table is whimsical, and the little birthday boy in his cardigan and bowtie!! – I just want to grab those cheeks!  I also specifically LOVE the bubble “smoke” detail in the pipe graphics.

By the way, Honeycomb Events did the styling, printables, cake pops, and decorated cookies! Wow, what a talent Jennifer is!

    Jennifer of Honeycomb Events & Design is truly a gifted event designer, but so is the other half of Honeycomb–her brother Jeff, who designs the printables and does much of the staging.
