With the holiday season as busy as it is, it’s nice to find a project that can multitask! These cute little clay ornaments are a breeze to make, and work nicely as napkin rings, drink markers, gift tags, and more!

DIY Clay Ornaments

Materials:

  • White polymer clay (you can get about 6 ornaments from 1 2-oz package)
  • white glitter
  • small cookie cutters
  • a rolling pin
  • a cookie sheet
  • a wooden skewer
  • metal or rubber letter stamps
  • twine or thin ribbon to hang your ornaments with

Directions: Preheat the oven to 275°F. On a clean counter, use a rolling pin to roll the clay out to 1/4″ thick. Use the cookie cutters to cut shapes, then carefully peel them off the counter and place them on the cookie sheet (you might need a spatula for this step). Use the wooden skewer to poke a hole all the way through each ornament. Use the letter stamps to spell names or a holiday message. Pour white glitter all over each ornament, and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. When ornaments are cool, use your fingers to rub the loose glitter off each ornament. Thread twine through the hole so the ornaments can hang. That’s it!
