Hot Cocoa & Candy Christmas Party

This hot cocoa & candy Christmas party is choc full of diy details that will inspire you. Spruce up store bought items with these easy tricks.

I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to receive this in my “in” box yesterday. This Hot Cocoa & Candy Christmas party was created by the uber talented Amanda Parker of Amanda’s Parties to Go, and showcases her latest printable party set appropriately called “Candy Christmas.” I’ve showcased several of Amanda’s party designs in the past, and once again she blew me away with her attention to detail and DIY sensibility. Just check out all the deliciousness for your self…

Hot cocoa & candy Christmas party treat table details:

  • Christmas tree cones & cake stands wrapped in white eyelet & peppermint candy
  • Adorable Santa hats {from Hobby Lobby} added to spoons
  • The most brilliant display for cake pops ever: they’re used as the ‘pompom’ topping the polka dot paper cone “Santa hats” which are trimmed with fur, of course!
  • Other details include the twine & button embellishment on the mini parfaits, and grand cake presentation {homemade}. Amanda actually made the cake pedestals using candlesticks and plastic lazy Susan from Goodwill – gotta love that!

Hot cocoa & candy Christmas party design ideas:

  • Utensils wrapped in paper napkins and secured with a “candy” circle {from the collection} and white grosgrain ribbon made to resemble wrapped candy pieces
  • Small canning jars embellished with ribbon & more buttons are used as drinking glasses
  • Amanda used white fudge covered Oreos, and Rice Krispies squares from the grocery store, and added fondant toppers {to the cookies} and dipped the squares into white chocolate drizzled with red.
  • Papers from the set tie everything together even more with wrapped candy bars, bottle wraps, and party circles.

The amazing table is such a focal point with the DIY backdrop of frames & sweet treats, and the table cloth Amanda made by sewing ruffles onto a white tablecloth & adding a bow– it is stunning!

The sweetness continues with a hot cocoa bar complete with snowman centerpiece made from foam balls….

White ribbon and tulle are the backdrop for the hot cocoa bar, with snowflakes added for a wintry wonderland effect. Hot cocoa is served along with sundae glasses filled with m&m’s, white & chocolate chips, toffee pieces, and crushed peppermint. For stirrers there are chocolate dipped peppermint sticks, chocolate dipped peppermint spoons, and white chocolate-dipped marshmallows sprinkled with more crushed peppermint and a red striped straw used as a handle.

Every inch of this design offers inspiration and ideas you can re-create on your own {with a little help from these vendors too ; ) }.  What do you think?  Will you be hosting a kids Christmas party this year?

      1. Hi Shannon,

I made the candies and lollipops using Styrofoam circles (small ones – Dollar Tree, large ones – Hobby Lobby) and then cut out white, red and green felt to glue on top. Then I wrapped them in clear cellophane and tied them with ribbons.
        Glad you like everything!
