DIY Meringue And Marshmallow Mushrooms
Find out how to make these diy meringue and marshmallow mushrooms for a fun party treat.
A couple of months ago I designed a fun boys fishing party for Bird’s Party magazine. The snack table was filled with treats that went with the theme like gummy worms & gummy fish, trail mix, and these cute and tasty diy meringue & marshmallow “mushrooms.”
These sweet treats are really simple to make and they make an adorable presentation when nestled among chocolate “rocks” (from Walmart). You could add these to any number of party themes like camping, Glamping, a backyard camp out, or even a family Halloween party.
Check out the easy step-by-step below.

You will need:
- large marshmallows
- chocolate chip meringue cookies
- white icing
- cocoa powder
- chocolate candy “rocks”
Cut the marshmallow in half, lengthwise. Roll one of the halves between the palm of your hands in order to round it out.
Roll the marshmallow in the cocoa powder, and tap off the excess.
Spread a dollop of icing onto one end of the marshmallow and top with a meringue cookie.
Display your “mushrooms” in a shallow dish surrounded by chocolate “rocks”.
