Celebrate Autumn With Jewel Tones {Vendor Challenge}

It’s time to welcome Autumn with fresh new party ideas from participants in our vendor challenge. First up is Katie of Petite Social who designed a fabulous “Land of Make Believe” in jewel tones and regal details. Katie worked with Little Choux to create a child’s party complete with a picnic and fantastical drape play area. See all the details below and read what Katie has to say…

Going with the Autumn theme, I wanted to use lots of purples and golds, and pull in sunflowers, plums and figs. I really wanted to use floor cushions/pillows for seating. I created a kids table using a small round side table from home. This tablescape can easily be created for an adult using a regular size table or larger coffee table. Since we were also incorporating a regal theme with crown elements throughout, I thought the jewel-toned crown cupcake wrapper, which I made from felt fabric, was a cute touch for the kids.

What I loved most about the Dessert Table, was actually the backdrop I created. Using the colors from one of the pillows I found at Pier One, I used chiffon fabric and basically just tore strips of different colors and then tied them to a long rope. No sewing required! I used local bakery sweets and pies and enlisted Brittany from Edible Details to create fondant topper to go with our ‘Land of Make Believe’ and jewel-toned themes. She came up with the wings and swords, which were perfect!”

Can I just say that I LOVE the color palette here; and the whimsical touch of the “crown” cupcake wrappers, and the great upscale picnic setting. This is perfect for a little prince & princess party when you have both girls and boys on the guest list. Thanks Katie!

    This is lovely. The jewel tones make such a refreshing change from all the brown and orange you see at this time of year. And the elephant is just amazing!
