Balsamic Apple Cider Cocktail {guest blogger}

By Aleah and Nick

Happy Friday! Aleah and Nick of Valley & Co. here today sharing what we hope will become a staple in your fall entertaining repertoire! We’re so thrilled to welcome chillier evenings, cozy gatherings and heartier food and drinks with a season anew, and we’re particularly smitten when we get to taste test said food and drinks! We recently had this balsamic elixir at a dinner in a field party {it was paired with sparkling water} and the taste was so unique we played around with some flavorful concoctions for fall. Enter our Balsamic Apple Cider with a Fig Garnish.

It’s a simple enough cocktail to make in advance to guests entering your home for festivities, but it packs a flavorful punch and is quite festive. Pair the cocktail with a hard cow’s milk cheese, some salamis and cured olives and you’ve got a scrumptious spread!

Valley & Co.’s Fall Balsamic Apple Cider with a Fig Garnish

  • sparkling apple cider {either alcoholic or not}
  • 1/2 teaspoon cherry drinking balsamic {you can find at most specialty grocers}
  • fig slices

Method: create a layer around the bottom of a champagne flute with the balsamic. Gently place two or three fig slices on top and fill flute with the apple cider.
