“All Aboard” A Modern Train Party {Guest Feature}

Wow, I feel like I’ve had lots of boy parties to share lately, which is good because sometimes the “prettiness” of girl parties seems to take over our creative web pages. This Modern Train Party was designed and sent in by Debbie of Wants & Wishes, for her nephew’s 3rd birthday. Debbie always adds such thoughtfulness and creativity to her parties and this one is no exception as seen by her “build your own train” desserts.

See all the details below…

As told by Debbie:  “All aboard…. the Austin Express! I wanted the dessert bar to look like a train station transformed into a sweet station on platform “3”. We designed banners and stop signs which created the atmosphere of being in a train station. I created this collection for my nephew and he LOVES sprinkles more than any kid I know.

For desserts we had cupcakes {with lots of Sprinkles}, suckers, candied popcorn (his second favorite thing in the world), favors filled with chicklets (M&M’s would be cute too), red licorice, and my favorite item – railroad sugar cookies (also coated in sprinkles) and mini train cakes and candies they could fill their train up with. This was one of the activities we had. 1st select your track and then your train. You can then decorate the train and or fill the train with candy cargo. You could select just one candy or mix all different ones. My favorites were the “candy rock” and blue chocolate circles.”

    Amazing attention to detail yet “sweets” is spelled wrong on the giant banner. “Sweet’s”?!! Love it.
