HONEYCOMB THEMED BABY SHOWER {Guest Feature}

Honeycomb themed baby shower with Jessica Charles Photography

Just in time for Spring showers {baby showers that is} is today’s guest party feature with lots of flowers, bees, and honey.  Submitted by Jessica Charles Photography, this Honeycomb themed baby shower by Dorangela of Two Prince Bakery Theater infuses little honey touches and a bright yellow color palette into every area of the party.

You’ll find inspiration for a dessert table, food table, drink station, and favor table.  And since the theme is pretty universal you can incorporate these ideas into birthdays or bridal showers too.

Design Details:  “This honeycomb themed baby shower took place on a beautiful sunny day in Tampa, Florida. The sister of the mother-to-be derived her inspiration from the honeycomb pattern on the boxes that were used as pedestals on the dessert table. To keep it elegant the entire party was kept in a simple color scheme of gold, soft brown and white.

Some special touches include a vintage buffet with vibrant yellow flowers coming out of the drawers, and gold painted paper lanterns suspended above the dessert table {which resemble a bee’s hive}. All the desserts kissed with honey included, Honey Panna Cottas garnished with pieces of honeycomb, a lemon honey cake in the shape of a pull-apart honeycomb complete with edible sugar bees, a bright yellow vanilla rosette frosted cake filled with lemon curd, and individual mini jars of French honey.

For the food keeping with the color scheme, there was mini quiche Florentine, baked brie with honey and walnuts, pesto pasta cups, deviled eggs, and fresh fruit skewers served with an orange marmalade dip. A golden bar cart served as a drink station stocked with a honeycomb shaped drink dispenser full of Arnold Palmers, individual lemon garnished mason jars with wood grain paper straws, vibrant yellow roses and gold balloons spelling out BEBE.

The guest of honor sat in a vintage peacock chair nestled next to antique tea trays in the same gold color to open baby gifts. A whimsical bike with a wicker basket full of bright yellow flowers was a perfect prop for photos of the mom to be. Yellow flowers filled every nook of this baby shower along with apothecary jars filled with honeycomb shaped cereal to play up the theme. Guests took mini mason jars of French honey home as party favors.”

Don’t you just love all the yellow flowers and honey details?!  This definitely puts me in the mood for Spring!
