I’m revisiting an idea that I’ve incorporated a few times previously in tablescapes. It’s a simple idea and easy to do, and I think it deserves special attention because it’s just so cute, clever, and useful!

My DIY place card sets are a great way to show your guests their seat and what’s on the menu, PLUS they get a trivia question or conversation starter to help them get to know each other or just have a little fun together.

This is a fabulous idea to use for dinner parties as well as baby and bridal showers or weddings. This example was originally seen in my Rustic-Modern bridal shower and everyone loved it.

The cards were designed for me by Delovely Designs, and photos by Laura Gordon Photography for CAH.

How to Make the Place Card Set

  1. Print out your information on card stock or printable tags/labels, and cut them to size.
  2. Punch a tiny hole in each in the upper left corner, and attach them together with a decorative brad.
  3. Place them at each guests table setting.

Here’s another simple design I did which shows you don’t need fancy graphics to create the look. For this one I included a menu and a conversation starter card instead of trivia card. This makes it a great dinner party idea!
