Everyone has their go-to list of party appetizers. The ones you know will be a hit every time, they take little effort to prepare, and you can serve them for any type of gathering. These ham and Parmesan canapes are one of mine.
I served these at our Christmas cocktail party in which I prepared the topping mixture ahead of time and then spread them on the base and baked them when ready. They are inspired by an old Pampered Chef recipe.
Ham & Parmesan Canapes
- 1 loaf French Baguette
- 4 oz. deli baked ham
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (4 oz.) Kraft shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 Tablespoons green onions, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and slice bread into 1/2 inch slices.
Combine ham, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, mustard, and onions in a medium sized bowl.
Place a small scoop of the mixture onto each slice of bread, and spread to cover. Bake 10-15 minutes.
Makes about 20 canapes.
