What To Wear :: Game Day Chic

fall fashion - game day chic

Call me old fashioned, but I’m not really a jeans and sweatshirt kind of girl. My idea of casual is jeans of course, but paired with something that is both comfortable AND stylish. When I was a little girl my parents {my dad in particular} would never leave the house unless they were properly coiffed. I don’t know if I’m a product of my environment or just love fashion, but I would rather die than go to a football game or tailgating in jeans, tennis shoes, and a sweatshirt.

These outfits are my idea of game day attire whether you’re at the field or watching with friends on tv.   I love the look of skinny jeans topped by big loose knit cardigans, tunics, and ponchos. Nothing’s more comfortable than a big sweater – it’s like wrapping yourself up in a blanket! And skinny jeans are usually made with a little stretch so it’s like you’re wearing workout pants. Plus, they tuck into knee high boots with ease.

Accessories are everything when you’re dressing casual. Mixed metal jewelry and an eye catching bag that’s not too big to carry around, are perfect. If you’re out all day tailgating, throw on a fedora and some sunglasses and you’re good to go.

Oh how I love fall – it’s my favorite fashion season! For more on where these pieces are from, check sources here.
