    I like how they tell you how to do vintage styled rooms without it being too cluttered or all vintage. Just using vintage pieces here and there, use simple background colors to make vintage pictures/pieces stand out. Simple chairs to show off the vintage decor in the dining room. So many great tips in that article.

  14. UPDATE THE WALLS WITH REMOVABLE DECOR is the BEST tip for me! I rent my house soooo doing anything permanent is a no no. Removable wallpaper or stickers would be great!

  21. I like the pantry tips, especially clear containers are also great for younger toddlers who aren’t able to identify foods by name or by the packaging. Giving them a choice between two snacks in clear containers may lessen some frustration when it comes to snack time.

  45. Since I live in an rented apartment, the idea to change the light fixtures is a great way to personalize the place.

  58. Adding pops of color to your rental was my favorite section. Though I don’t rent, I am always afraid to do anything permanent with color. I tend to be very bland in my decorating, unfortunately. The two ideas I plan to try are fresh flowers, to include nosegays so it is not overpowering The other ideas was to add color by painting a rug!

  67. I loved the section about the different vintage styles and how vintage does not only mean one idea. I think many people hear “vintage” and think that there is only one right way to present the style. This section was eye-opening and showed that vintage can be brought to any style that you choose. I am a simple country girl so of course I loved the vintage country farmhouse styles, but it was cool to see vintage brought to other styles such as modern and French country styles. I would love to be able to apply more vintage ideas from all styles to my space. Now, that I’ve seen what can be done it makes me excited to start forming some of my own ideas. :)

    It’s true about what the power of paint can do for a plain little piece of furniture. I’ve painted a couple of pieces. It can give an old piece of furniture an entire new life! Love the coppery gold look they used! Hmmmmm, I’m thinking! :-)
