A Gold Party With Martha Stewart Celebrations

gold party for martha stewart jcpenney collection #LetsCelebrate

I have a fun project today that I worked on for the new Martha Stewart Celebrations line at JCPenney. They asked me to use one of the new collections to style a party and make it personal. I was thrilled to receive the gold party in a box because it’s so celebratory and would be great for graduations, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and wedding parties.

The box came with everything I needed to create a party {even things I couldn’t use here}. I love how beautiful and stylish everything is – after all it IS Martha Stewart. Wanna see what I did?

Setting the Table:

  • I layered a chevron runner on top of a white cloth. The “runner” is actually place mats laid end to end. The pattern works so well with the modern style of the paper goods.
  • A low flower arrangement lets guests talk to one another without obstruction. Mostly white flowers placed in a gold vase ties into the theme.
  • I layered 2 sizes of plates for each place setting and topped them with the boxed favors. I LOVE these favor boxes. The slide style {like a matchbox} is so easy to put together, and they’re filled with gold foiled chocolates also from Martha Celebrations. I topped each box with white paper flowers {by Martha Stewart} that I just happened to have on hand – something I picked up about a year ago at the craft store.
  • I layered my own white napkins with gold ones from the collection and tied with ribbon. The utensils are nestled inside.

Sweets Table

  • The dessert table is set with cupcakes jazzed up with liners and toppers from Martha Celebrations. I also got a cupcake stand but didn’t use it here.
  • Hanging lanterns add visual height and interest, and even the ribbon & gold candy {root beer flavor, yum!} used in the party is from the collection.
  • Brownie pops sit on a bed of gold cake glitter, and champagne is served on my Lucite tray from A Blissful Nest.
  • An array of gold and celebratory invitations and greeting cards are ready to personalize and send.

Styling a party from a complete set like this made things so easy and I’m thrilled to have been asked to do so. There are many other collections to choose from and you can see what other bloggers have done with them on our group “Lets Celebrate” Pinterest board. Also, when you rePin one of them using the hashtag “#LetsCelebrate” {now through June 14} you’ll be entered to win your own party in a box! The blogger with the most repins will also win recognition from MarthaStewart.com.

Have a great day!
