8 Holiday Chalkboard Ideas

Chalkboards are making their way into holiday decor, big time! I’ve shared my love affair with all things chalkboard before and I love how I’m seeing it incorporated for Christmas. Here are a few of my favorites where designers have incorporated it into their seasonal decor. Paired with wreaths, used as menu backdrops, or turned into tree ornaments {my personal fave}, each idea is sure to inspire you.

When you’re done looking at those, enter to win a delicious gift basket from Harry & David, below. Their baskets are synonymous with the holidays and I was more than happy to offer one to my readers when my friend Sandy {the Reluctant Entertainer} invited me to do so. I received the same basket a few weeks ago and we are saving some of the items to take with us when we do a quick holiday getaway next week {of course I couldn’t resist digging into a few of those apples & pairs. Mmmmm}.

Now, check out the chalkboard inspiration…

chalkboard paired with wreaths: laurel leaf border; “joy”; song lyrics

chalkboard signs: hot cocoa bar; buffet menu

Holiday sentiments: chalkboard tray; chalkboard ornaments

Okay, I had to add a bonus idea I just found after putting this post together.  Check out this creative and whimsical chalkboard “fire place“!
