Preppy Golf Themed Baby Shower

This Preppy Golf Themed baby shower feature is way past due. It’s from the Operation Shower event I helped with in Ponte Vedra, Florida back in early May. As you know I love volunteering my time to this organization that gives group baby showers to expectant moms whose husbands are deployed serving our country. When Amy {shower coordinator for OS} told me about the shower in Florida {where some of my favorite party gals reside} and the potential for she and I to spend some non-working girl time together, I was ready to book my flight!

This was one of the most fun experiences I’ve had “working” as I got a chance to see behind-the-scenes of a PGA Tournament {a partner on this shower}, spend extra time with my good friend Amy before set-up day, finally spend time with my friend & contributor, Kori {of Paper & Pigtails}, and meet face-to-face some of my blogger buddies I’ve known for years like Carrie of Half Baked the Cake Blog, Jessica of Pen n’ Paper Flowers, Lauren of Baby Lifestyles, and Paula of Frog Prince Paperie {who I actually met up with last summer}.

Check out the fun, preppy, golf themed details from the shower, and see who else I finally met below…

If you need ideas for a golf themed party, we have lots to choose from right here. Kori and Jessica were in charge of setting up the dessert table and did a fantastic job using turf grass as the back drop, white honeycomb poms for “golf balls” on the green, and an array of golf themed treats provided by some generous vendors {see list at bottom}. Some of my favorite details are the white gumballs {“golf balls”} inside pipettes with flag attached, pastry pedestals used to elevate mini cupcakes, and the incredible creative golf bags filled with lollipops. The front of the table was adorned with a tassel swag from The Flair Exchange. I’ve seen Carmen’s creations in many party designs and it was a pleasure to meet the sweet gal behind the business.

The seated tables were designed with one of 3 golf themed centerpieces: tall “tees” topped with pom “golf ball”, tiny greens with baby bottle filled with golf balls and flower arrangement, and toy golf clubs. Each place setting had the cutest napkin treatment too – rolled and wrapped with “grass” tissue, and a golf ball on top! All the printed paper items were designed by Frog Prince Paperie.

More decorative touches were placed at the welcome table. Paula brought her apothecary jars filled with golf balls, golf tees, and white taffy – I think they looked great in all white with the pops of color in the paper & ribbon. More banners, swags, balloons, and custom signs are placed at every station of the event. Above you can see the very loooong table full of gifts for the moms, which doesn’t even include their signature “shower in a box”, and the stroller & car seat each one went home with!

The generous support in both donations and time is what makes these showers possible and so spectacular. Some of the other party girl volunteers I had the chance to meet are Maylene of Malu Boutique {who’s gorgeous both inside & out}, Jessica of Let’s Get this Party Started, and Nikki of Great Gatherings.  See more of these amazing showers here.
