Published In Yum Food & Fun For Kids – Spring 2012

I’ve been patiently waiting to share my latest news with you guys: I was so excited to be asked to style another article for Yum Food & Fun For Kids magazine!! This assignment was for a partnership between the magazine and Random House to celebrate their children’s book series, The Magic Tree House, and create a party around it.

The crazy part is that I had two weeks to learn about the books, come up with an idea, shop, and pull it all together for the shoot. Once again I worked with Laura Gordon Photography and enlisted the help of my contributor Kori, aka Paper & Pigtails, for some custom invitations, game cards, book marks, and name cards. The article is a 14 page spread!! {Yeah, that’s exciting!} and includes tabletop styling, food ideas & recipes, diy tips, activities, and volcano cupcakes I made thanks to Debbie of Wants and Wishes.

Here are a few pages from the article but pick up a copy of your own. It’s FULL of great party ideas for you and the kids!

Let me also say a special congratulations to my contributor Rebekah, aka A Blissful Nest, who was also featured in the magazine.  You can see her announcement on her blog post by following the link.

  7. You did such a fantastic job Chris! I agree with Rebecca, it has your signature style which makes it darling but not too overwhelming for a mom to try and do herself (or at least be able to do some of it!) Amazing Job!! I am so thrilled to have been able to be a part of it!!!
