Rustic Wine & Cheese Themed Dinner Party

This photo shoot makes me want to jump right in and spend the weekend with friends gabbing around that table! The simple rustic setting is the perfect background for a wine and cheese themed dinner party. Created for an inspiration shoot by Alchemy Fine Events & Enchanted Dream Weddings, the combination of rustic neutrals with black & white gives the look a modern edge.

  • One of the recurring details of the design is the white with black dip-dyed cheesecloth and paper elements. This is seen in the napkins, a belly band to wrap around the invitation, and the invitation itself. The colors are carried through in the flowers as well as the dishes.
  • Terra cotta pots, green plants, burlap runner, and an amazing wood table give an earthy feel that’s just right for wine & cheese presentation.
  • Even the party favors add to the design – small potted herbs are lined up with each person’s name artfully hung on it’s branches.

This design shoot shows how very simple items can come together to create a beautiful cohesive look. Use this for a special birthday, and engagement party, or for a special weekend gathering. Cheers!

  1. I love this rustic and natural table set-up. Amazing job. Where did you get the stamps for the cheeses? I’ve been looking for a stamp set like that. And that cake…WOW.

  2. Absolutely gorgeous! I love everything about it! What’s in the cheesecloth bundles tied with the black ribbon? I need to switch my glass top dining table for a wood one now, LOL! Fantastic job!

  3. Wish I was there :)

  5. This is lovely, and I love the “uniced” cake!
